The Wychavon Contest is very popular date in the brass band calendar. We were competing in the the Championship section as the first band from Devon to compete at this top level.

About us

swcomms Band is Devon's first Champion Section Band, led by musical director Stephen Sykes.

We hold our rehearsals on Mondays and Thursdays 7.45pm-9.45pm in the band room, which is located not far from the railway station and a stone’s throw from The Swan Inn and The Globe Inn in Lympstone.

Anyone out for a stroll is welcome to drop by to listen and if you are a player, you are more than welcome to join in. We can usually find you an instrument!
